A heartwarming story of serendipity has emerged from Klang, Malaysia, where a father and daughter unknowingly connected through the same school library book—34 years apart.
The father, Tan Kok Long, revealed on Facebook that he had borrowed a Malay-language book titled Si Andopal from his school library when he was a third-grader in 1991.

Fast forward over three decades, his young daughter, who now attends the same school, recently borrowed the very same copy of the book from the library.
In a social media post, Tan shared his amazement, complete with a photo of the library loan slip. The slip clearly shows his name and the date of his original loan: May 15, 1991.
“This book found its way back to me through my daughter. It’s an incredible coincidence, and I plan to cherish it by reading it again,” he said.
