40km through mud & jungle

Muhammad Haqqi Annazili Rusdi, 29, and his wife, Noor Syazwanie Mohamad, 26, traverse 40km on a dirt bike every week to reach their workplace, Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Bihai in Gua Musang, according to Kosmo.

Far from the typical morning drive, their journey is a testament to dedication and love for their profession.

Navigating through thick forests and muddy paths, their 90-minute ride on a scrambler motorcycle is more than just a commute; it’s a challenge against nature’s elements.

From slippery trails to unexpected wildlife encounters, their path to the school is an adventure in itself.

“It’s a tough route, filled with all sorts of surprises from Mother Nature,” Haqqi shares.

The couple, who stay in the school’s quarters during the week, only journey back to their home in Bachok once every seven days.

Their four-year tenure at SK Bihai has been a journey of commitment, not just to their students but to their own spirit of adventure and resilience.

Their experiences on these treks are filled with stories, like the time they skidded into mud while heading to an outdoor school program.

“Every slip, every challenge, it’s all part of this unique life we’ve chosen here,” says Syazwanie with a smile.

For this couple, every trip through the jungle is more than just a physical journey for them.
