A giant Mixue mascot in Melaka has gone viral after Malaysians spotted the inflatable character looking unusually huge outside a Mixue outlet.
The oversized mascot quickly became the centre of attention online, with many joking that it looked like it had consumed too much bubble tea and ice cream.
Giant mascot spotted outside Mixue outlet
In a Threads post, a netizen shared photos of the giant mascot outside a Mixue outlet in Melaka.
“I can’t with this Mixue. Why is it so huge?” she jokingly wrote in Malay.
The inflatable mascot appeared tightly squeezed between the roadside and the row of shoplots, making it look even rounder than usual.
Soon after, more netizens began sharing their own photos of the mascot from different angles, including nighttime shots where it appeared even bigger.
Netizens flood the comments section with jokes
Many Malaysians could not resist making jokes about the mascot’s size.
One netizen joked that it had “consumed too much sugar”, while others compared it to Snorlax from Pokémon because of its round appearance.
Another commenter humorously claimed the giant mascot was a “marketing strategy” so customers could spot the store from far away.
Besides finding it funny, many also thought the mascot looked strangely adorable, with some saying it looked “tired” from leaning against the building all day.
