Office fridges are meant to be shared, but one Malaysian worker was left baffled after seeing several unfinished drinks being kept inside a workplace fridge.
The sight has since sparked a discussion online, with many netizens agreeing that shared office fridges can get messy very fast.
Half-finished drinks left in fridge
In a post, the worker shared a photo of the office fridge filled with various drinks and food items.
What caught their attention were several packaged drinks that appeared to be opened, with straws still sticking out of them.
“I will never understand people at my workplace,” the user wrote, adding that some drinks were only half-finished.
They said that if it happened at home, they would have thrown the drinks away instead of letting them take up space.

Netizens say it feels unhygienic
The post quickly gained attention, with many netizens saying they also could not understand why someone would take a sip from a drink, keep it in the fridge, and continue drinking it later.
One commenter said the drinks looked “geli”, especially since the fridge is shared by many people and the exposed straws were left just like that.
Another said unfinished packaged food and drinks should be thrown away after office hours if nobody claims them.
Some also pointed out that keeping half-finished drinks in a shared fridge could cause unpleasant smells or possible cross-contamination.
Others shared similar office fridge horror stories
Several netizens said this was not unusual in office settings, with some claiming their workplace fridges had old food, expired drinks, and forgotten containers left inside for days.
One user shared that they had seen items in their office fridge that were even worse, including old food that had been kept for too long.
Another commenter said their office rule is simple: any unfinished packaged food or drinks will be thrown into the bin after 5pm.
While some saw it as people trying not to waste food or drinks, others felt that shared office spaces require basic consideration.
