Motorists band together to rescue a lost dog from heavy traffic at Jalan Cheras

Humanity at its best.

Following recent reports of how Malaysians united together in apprehending a carjacker and moving an illegally parked car off the road to make way for a Rapid bus, this same spirit came in full display once again in a now-viral clip.

A group of motorists were filmed risking their lives to save a dog wandering along Jalan Cheras last Saturday afternoon (April 24).

In the 2-minute clip, six motorists pursued the dog that was running aimlessly on the road with vehicles zooming past.

At one point, one of them even got off his motorcycle and ran after the dog before falling in the middle of the road. Thankfully, both the man and the dog were safe.

The dog, a poodle named Dafi, was said to have gone missing for ten days prior to the incident.

Dafi’s owner, Mr Steven, said that he was thankful to the motorists for their kindness and bravery. He also thanked one of the motorists, Mr Siva for bringing Dafi back home safely.
