Mercedes Benz Catches Fire, Motorcyclist Injured In Hit-And-Run At Wangsa Maju Toll Plaza

A Mercedes driver allegedly hit a motorcyclist and sped off, but the car caught fire hours later at another toll plaza.
Accidents can happen in the blink of an eye, leaving behind a trail of chaos and unanswered questions.

But when two seemingly unrelated incidents—a luxury car catching fire and a motorcyclist severely injured in a hit-and-run—turn out to be connected, it sparks a wave of curiosity and concern.

Yesterday, two separate accidents went viral online: a Mercedes Benz caught fire at the Wangsa Maju Toll Plaza, while a motorcyclist was left critically injured after a hit-and-run.

What initially appeared to be two isolated events have since been linked, shedding light on a complex and tragic series of events.

A Family’s Ordeal

The motorcyclist’s sister, Syahrizah Saini, spoke to Astro Awani, providing updates on her brother’s condition. She revealed that he is currently in critical condition at Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL).

“His face is severely injured, and the bleeding hasn’t stopped. The doctor gave him medication to stop the bleeding,” she explained.

She added that her brother is not only physically unstable but also struggling with memory loss.

“Currently, he is unstable and experiencing memory loss,” Syahrizah added.

A Shocking Link Between the Incidents

While filing a police report, Syahrizah learned that the two accidents—her brother’s and the Mercedes fire—were connected, a revelation that even surprised the authorities.

“They (the police) called the Mercedes driver. At first, he denied it. Then the police mentioned that they had various evidence regarding the incident,” she explained.

The situation took another turn when the driver, after initially denying involvement, began asking about the motorcyclist’s condition.

“When I finished filing the report, the police informed me that the driver was on his way to the police station,” Syahrizah shared, hinting at the ongoing investigation into the case.

Fire and Rescue Respond Swiftly

Earlier that day, the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) received an emergency alert through the Merc 999 system at 1:38 PM, as reported by Harian Metro.

A fire engine with seven officers and personnel was dispatched to the scene.
