With the advancement of technology in the form of 5G and artificial intelligence (AI), self-driving cars are no longer confined to sci-fi movies and are now being developed by giant companies like Tesla and Google.
A video on Facebook posted by Muhammad Hanif Yussoff showed him driving an ‘auto-sensing’ Honda that would probably give Tesla a run for its money. Wait, even Honda has such cars too??
In the 38-second video titled, “Why I choose cars from Japan”, Hanif is sitting comfortably at the driver’s seat with both hands completely off the steering wheel. Instead, he opts to enjoy a snack while the vehicle moves on its own.

The cameraperson proceeds to ask Hanif why he isn’t driving the car at all.

“My car has an auto-sensing (auto-drive) function. So, I can do whatever I like eating or looking behind while letting it move on its own,” he answered.

Amazed by his car’s ability, the cameraperson then enquires about it model, to which Hanif replied, “EX 5.”
As they approached a U-turn, the cameraperson could hardly hide his surprise when the car began turning on its own without having Hanif to do anything at all except to give instructions.
“All you need to do is to give orders with your voice. See? It’s going straight. That’s why, you should buy Honda! It’s the best!”
However, turns out that Hanif was trolling viewers (us included), when the camera shifted to the windshield and revealed that his car was being towed by a truck.

Netizens had a good laugh over the video, which has garnered 5.5K reactions, 351 comments, and 13K shares.
Many were amused by Hanif’s cleverly devised joke in the comments.
