[VIDEO] Man caught stealing hand sanitizer and gets fierce scolding from female employee

KUALA LUMPUR – A man tried sneaking three bottles of hand sanitizers but was caught red-handed by a female MR. DIY employee at the Avenue K shopping mall last Christmas.

In a 3-minute TikTok video posted on Facebook, the clip starts with the woman screeching at the man by the escalator, who was seen clutching on to the hand sanitizers.

The clip further alleged that she had attempted to get the receipt repeatedly but was stonewalled by the man, who became defensive and tried to argue his way out.

As the argument escalated further, a male colleague tried to diffuse the situation but to no avail. By then, the woman had already taken the hand sanitizers away from the man.

Perhaps realising that his plot had been foiled, the man shrugged his shoulders in mock surrender and tried to walk away but was pursued by the woman, who continued screaming at him, causing another male colleague to break them up.

Way to go, lady!

Many netizens were impressed by the woman’s courage and applauded her for standing up to the man.

‘This is an example of a good employee. MR. DIY needs to reward her for her courage,” one wrote.

Another wrote that MR. DIY would usually compel employees to reimburse for any discrepancies or missing items, which explained why the female employee was hell-bent on getting a receipt from the man.

They are already paid so little. If they were to reimburse the unbalanced amount, what more would be left for them?

Several netizens also condemned the man for attempting to swipe the hand sanitizers despite the fact that he looked like one who could afford to purchase them.
