Malaysia has been ranked as the 10th peaceful country in the world and the second most peaceful in Asia, following only Singapore, according to the Global Peace Index 2024 & World Risk Report.
Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Shamsul Azri bin Abu Bakar, shared the news in a Facebook post yesterday, congratulating the nation on the remarkable recognition.
He noted that the ranking reflects the government’s ongoing efforts and the united contributions of all Malaysians in maintaining peace, security, and stability across the country.

This is a proud achievement for Malaysia and a reflection of the spirit of cooperation, inclusivity, and unity from all layers of society,” he stated.
Tan Sri Shamsul Azri also expressed hope that this international recognition will further inspire continued efforts to safeguard the nation’s harmony and well-being.
