Malaysia Airlines Bhd announced that four Orang Asli cabin crew members are among its first two batches of graduates from the airline’s training academy this year, marking a historic milestone.

Amyisha Nurshahira Rosman from Suku Jakun, Sarah Elissa Tang Aman from Suku Temuan, Veena Angelina Jincis from Suku Semai, and Alzariza Alwi from Suku Semai, are the first indigenous individuals to achieve this honor.
The four graduates are among 56 cabin crew members who completed their training and have been serving aboard Malaysia Airlines flights since May 7, 2024.

The graduation ceremony was attended by Datuk Sapiah Mohd Nor, the director-general of the Orang Asli Development Department (Jakoa).

This achievement underscores our ongoing commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity within our workforce, ensuring equal opportunities for all, regardless of their background,” said MAG group managing director Datuk Captain Izham Ismail in a statement.
In December 2023, Malaysia Airlines, in collaboration with Jakoa, began recruitment efforts in Pahang, Perak, and Johor, targeting ethnic groups such as Jakun, Temuan, and Semai.
The airline’s rigorous training program ensures that all cabin crew members meet the highest standards of service excellence and embody Malaysian Hospitality.
Malaysia Airlines will also participate in the Karnival Kerjaya Khas Untuk Orang Asli on August 24 and 25, further demonstrating its commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
