In the urban jungle of Malaysia’s LRT, commuters are often seen engaged in the silent battle of securing a seat during the peak hours.
However, a recent snapshot from the LRT’s surveillance cam – yes, you’re on candid camera – shows that some passengers have taken the concept of “finding a seat” to new heights… literally.
The image, which has since gone viral, showcases a trio of passengers who have decided to redefine the LRT seating chart.
Perched upon the ledge meant for, well, definitely not sitting, these acrobatic individuals have sparked a mix of amusement and a tiny bit of outrage from netizens.
With a sign clearly stating “Do Not Occupy This Area” right above their heads, it seems that the rebellious spirit of rush hour has inspired these passengers to throw caution — and perhaps common sense — to the wind.
Speaking to WeirdKaya, the commuter who captured the photo mentioned that the incident occurred on the Kelana Jaya line.
Additionally, he shared that after sitting there for three stations, the group was asked by the staff to disembark.
Amidst the varied reactions, from amusement to disapproval, there’s a shared sense of curiosity of how they managed to get up there.
Some are genuinely puzzled, wondering how they managed to climb up there in the first place. “How did they even get up there? And why ignore the sign?” one person asks, echoing the confusion and concern of many.
