“Love Their Public Transport!” – China Tourist Shares 3 Things She Loves About Malaysia

She also loves the spicy food here!
Some Malaysians love to complain about our country, and while constructive criticism is always helpful for improvement, sometimes we need to take a step back, view things from a different perspective, and appreciate what we have.

Recently, a Chinese tourist shared on Xiaohongshu that she visited Malaysia and absolutely loved it, listing three things she particularly liked about her trip.

‘No smoking means no smoking’

She noted that Malaysia’s anti-smoking regulations help keep the environment clean and refreshing.

She also mentioned that she was surprised by how strictly the regulations were enforced.

Women-only train coaches win her heart

Another highlight was the women-only train coaches, which the OP described as “super friendly and safe for women.”

“The trains are cheap, stations are close to each other, and having women-only coaches makes me feel so comfortable travelling around. It’s really thoughtful.”

She added that there are many train stations in the heart of Kuala Lumpur and that the trains stop very frequently.

Taxis that smell good

Lastly, the OP was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of Malaysian taxis.

“Every taxi I took smelled so nice! It didn’t matter if the car was new or old — there was no smoke smell at all. Drivers always used air fresheners, and it felt so refreshing,” she added.

She also pointed out that it was a new experience for her to ride in a car with the driver’s seat on the right side.

Speaking to WeirdKaya, the OP shared that she visited Kuala Lumpur and Penang albeit on a tight schedule.
