It was extraordinary day for a team of health inspectors from the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) after they stumbled upon a flock of live chickens inside the toilet of a business premise.
The unusual sight was among the many photos shared by MBSA in a Facebook post on July 21.
At another premise, health inspectors also found fishes being reared in the water storage tank.
The baffling discoveries were the result of two inspections carried out by MBSA’s Environmental Health department on 87 business premises at Shah Alam’s Section 7 Commercial Centre between July 21 and July 28.
67 compounds and two notices were also issued for a number of offenses such as failing to display business licences, placing food items on the floor, as well as food handlers not wearing aprons, hair nets, or shoes.
Several premises were also caught using the toilet to store items.
Shah Alam residents express disgust
While all of the photos sent netizens reeling with shock, none disgusted them more than the chickens found inside the toilet.
“Hahahah aduiii….this is uncomfortable to see.”
“Crazy to rear chickens inside the toilet of an eatery. Haha…adoi.”
“If such things (chickens) can be placed in toilets, what’s the need for coops anymore.”
Congratulations on making till the end of this article! We hope your stomach’s still going strong after seeing the images…
