Who needs an inspection team when you’ve got elephants on the job?
In a sight as rare as it is remarkable, two elephants were recently spotted doing some “quality control” on a fenced area at an East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project site in Pahang, Malaysia.
The clip shows the two majestic creatures wandering around the fenced area, led by skilled riders, while workers stood by, witnessing the scene.
In one particularly jaw-dropping moment, one elephant casually leans in and knocks down a pillar with its head, effortlessly showing just how easy it could be for an elephant to breach these barriers.
The video, captured by @mr_chezz91 and shared on TikTok, has already racked up over 149,000 views, with netizens tickled by these unexpected “employees” at the site.
Wildlife Meets Infrastructure: Testing Boundaries!
According to the New Straits Times, a source from the project confirmed that this “exercise” is part of ECRL’s ongoing efforts to handle potential wildlife conflicts in the area.
With the aim of keeping elephants out of critical work zones, these “tests” help ensure that the barriers can effectively hold up against an elephant’s strength – because let’s face it, if it works for elephants, it’s probably good enough for anything else!
So, what do you think? Are these elephants doing a fantastic job, or what? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below – and who knows, maybe you’ll see more “quality inspectors” making the rounds soon!
