Lalamove Launches ‘Moves That Bring You Home’ To Deliver Essential Goods To 16 Urban Families In KL

It is not just about moving goods, but moving kindness to where it matters.
For many underprivileged families, help does not always come in big gestures.

Sometimes, it comes in the form of rice, cooking oil, sardines, and daily necessities arriving safely at their doorstep.

Lalamove Malaysia has launched “Moves That Bring You Home”, a regional CSR campaign under its Deliver Care initiative, aimed at using logistics to support communities in need.

In Malaysia, the on-demand delivery platform has partnered with Dignity for Children Foundation, an NGO that provides holistic care and education to urban poor children in Kuala Lumpur.

Delivering essentials to 16 families

Through the campaign, Lalamove is helping to deliver essential household goods to 16 urban families in need.

The items include basic necessities such as cooking oil, white rice, sardines, and other daily goods that can help ease the burden of families facing financial challenges.

According to Lalamove, the initiative is part of its ongoing Deliver Care programme, which supports around 70 underprivileged families every month through the delivery of essential aid.

But beyond this one-off donation drive, Lalamove is also providing Dignity for Children Foundation with ongoing delivery support and access to its flexible fleet.

This includes motorcycles, vans, and large trucks, depending on what needs to be moved.

Helping NGOs solve a hidden problem

While many Malaysians are generous when it comes to donating goods, NGOs often face another challenge behind the scenes: getting those items to the people who need them.

Bulky donations may go uncollected, essential supplies can be delayed, and smaller organisations may not always have the transport or manpower to move items quickly.

This is where Lalamove hopes to step in.

Through its same-day, on-demand logistics support, the platform aims to help NGOs move donations, household items, and project materials without long waiting times or fixed transport arrangements.

This allows community partners to focus more on the people they serve, while Lalamove helps handle the delivery side of things.

‘Many NGOs still face hidden challenges’

Lalamove Malaysia managing director Jane Teh said NGOs in Malaysia often receive strong support from everyday Malaysians, but many still face hidden challenges such as transportation and logistics.

Through our Deliver Care programme, we help bridge this gap by supporting NGOs that are making a meaningful impact in local communities,” she said.

“With ‘Moves That Bring You Home’, we are extending this commitment further by helping families in need across Kuala Lumpur with essential groceries and household items.”

She added that the effort was made possible with the support of Lalamove’s driver partners, who continue to serve the communities around them.

Users can contribute too

Lalamove users can also take part in the campaign through Lalamove Rewards, the platform’s free loyalty programme.

Members can donate RM3 to Dignity for Children Foundation for every 600 LalaPoints redeemed.

LalaPoints are earned through orders placed on the platform, with every RM1 spent equivalent to 1 LalaPoint.

Funds raised will support Dignity for Children Foundation’s nationwide operations, including education, daily nutritious meals, safe transportation, and holistic care for children from urban poor communities.
