A Malaysian woman was left touched after a kind uncle treated her children to snacks and ice cream at a convenience store in Johor Bahru.
The uncle explained that he wanted to share his happiness as his daughter, who had been married for five years, was finally expecting her first child.
Gave each child a KitKat
Speaking exclusively to WeirdKaya, the OP said this incident took place at a convenience store in Bandar Baru Uda, Johor Bahru.
According to the OP, she had brought her children to the store to look for ice cream after they ate skewered steamboat from a nearby food truck.
While the children were choosing their snacks, the uncle approached them and gave each child a KitKat.
He then left the store.
However, the uncle unexpectedly returned a short while later and bought each child an ice cream and a boxed Milo drink.
Daughter expecting first baby after five years
In the video shared on Threads, the uncle could be heard explaining why he decided to treat the children.
He shared that his daughter had been married for five years and was finally going to give birth this year.
Overwhelmed by the kind gesture, the woman wrote:
“Guys, I’m so touched.”
She also wished for the uncle’s daughter to have a safe delivery and prayed that the uncle would be blessed with a long life and good health.
“Thank you, kind hearted uncle,” she added.
Hopes to find the uncle’s daughter
The woman later appealed to social media users to repost the video in hopes that it would reach the uncle’s daughter.
She said she wanted to congratulate the family on the upcoming arrival of their first baby.
“Please help repost this until his daughter sees my post. I want to congratulate her on her upcoming baby,” she wrote.
She added that two people in the comment section claimed that the uncle was known for being generous and often treated others to food.
“Please help me find him so his children will know that their father is truly a good person. I want to give a present to his future grandchild,” she said.
Wants to thank him again
Speaking to WeirdKaya, the woman confirmed that the incident happened at a convenience store in Bandar Baru Uda.
She said she posted the video because she hoped to find the uncle’s daughter and give a present to the baby.
When asked what she would say if she met the uncle again, she replied:
Thank you for being a good person to everyone.”
