A local man has won praise from netizens for coming to the aid of an elderly man who was seen walking home alone from the market in Johor.
The heartwarming incident was shared in a Threads post, where it documented what transpired throughout.
Gave old man a lift home
In a video attached in the post, it showed the OP pulling up by the side of the road and asking the old man where he was walking to.
Upon finding out that the old man was heading towards Taman Seri Austin, the OP told him to hop into the car as he was going in that direction too.
During the ride, the OP chatted with the old man and asked why he was walking back home, to which the latter saying that his friend had dropped him off at the market earlier.
The old man also revealed that his wife had trouble walking and that his children were working outside of Johor.
Amazed by size of old man’s house
When the OP neared the old man’s residence, the latter told him to drop him at the side of the road and let him walk home.
However, the OP insisted on sending him right to his doorstep and when he did, he couldn’t help but to remark on how huge his house was.
Before alighting from the car, the old man turned to thank the OP for his kindness and shook his hand firmly.
Towards the end of the video, the OP called upon others to help those in need regardless of race and not to judge them based on appearance.
