KUALA LUMPUR – Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has hit back at those who accused him of not being fully vaccinated against Covid-19 after a viral screenshot claimed that his appointment status was marked as “under process” on vaksincovid.gov.my.

In a Facebook post, Khairy pointed out that the website was launched at the beginning stages of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK), which has not been updated since.
Malaysia’s adult vaccination rate currently stands at 90% as of October 2021.

“I was given the CoronaVac vaccine on March 18 last year where it was broadcasted live on TV. I even showed my MySejahtera status for all to see.

“My second dose was on April 8, where I received the Pfizer booster shot before setting off for the 72nd World Health Organisation Western Pacific Region Committee Meeting (WPRCM) at Himeji, Japan in September,” he said.

He also attached a video of him receiving his first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
I would like to take this opportunity to deny the fake information online and urge the public not to be influenced by the actions of irresponsible people trying to affect the national vaccination programme.
