Khairul Aming is one of Malaysia’s most beloved and famous influencers, where he’s widely known for his signature products such as sambal nyet and dendeng nyet berapi.
Now, it seems that his fame has not only spread all across Malaysia, but even to a country fay away like the UK!
‘We know who Khairul Aming is!’
In a TikTok video posted by another Malaysian influencer @christhechindian, it showed him patronising a food stall in London during his trip there.
While chatting with the two vendors who operated the stall, the men asked Chris which country he was from and he said “Malaysia.”
In response, one of the vendors asked, “You know Khairul Aming?” When Chris said yes, the vendor shocked him with this reply:

This clearly astonished Chris and his friends, who never thought Khairul Aming’s influence was this strong outside of Malaysia and proudly exclaimed “Malaysia represent!”
We asked Chris some questions
Chris told that the interaction between him and the vendors took place during his recent trip to London, on 14th of March. The chefs working there seemed to know Khairul Aming as soon as Chris mentioned he was from Malaysia.
I was shocked at first. I thought I heard wrongly hence the ‘ah?’ We were just there recording the experience of getting the paella and mussels and all of a sudden this angmoh asks us this.
Chris told WeirdKaya that he felt somewhat connected right after the incident took place, making him feel proud of how KA brings the name of Malaysia to places like central London. He also added that he is proud to be a Malaysian.

The clip has since garnered close to 2 million views at the time of writing, where netizens were deeply proud to see Khairul Aming spreading the Malaysian culture far and wide.
