We all know that Malaysians just can’t live without Milo (mai lo or mee lo?) and would do anything to incorporate the chocolatey powder into their food.
This includes weird combinations such as Maggi Mee Kari or durian rice with a generous scoop of Milo!
This time, we took up the challenge to try out two recipes, namely the Milo Mocha Orange and Milo Berry Yogurt Smoothie to see how good it tasted.
As “normal” Milo fans, trying out these bizarre recipes was definitely an eye-opener for us as we usually love to enjoy Milo the ‘old school way’ by adding either hot or ice cold water.
Want to find out what was our verdict on the two recipes? Continue reading!
Milo Mocha Orange
Can you imagine mixing the heavenly hot chocolatey drink with freshly squeezed orange juice and Nescafe coffee powder?
Well, we sure couldn’t and wondered whether our tongues were able to accept it.
Surprisingly, the taste turned out to be rather acceptable for us, with the orange juice displaying stronger hints with every sip.
For those adventurous souls out there, try this out! However, we would recommend you to cut back on the orange juice or else it might tastes really weird.
Score: 3/5
Milo Berry Yogurt Smoothie
By its name alone, this sounded way more normal compared to the Milo Mocha Orange. But would the taste be as good as it seems?
This time, we added a little more Milo powder into it because, you know, Malaysians absolutely love to amp up the kaw-ness.
Turns out that the taste was refreshing and cooling, making it the perfect drink for a hot summer day.
Score: 4/5
