Johor Man Secretly Films Another Man Peeing Inside Toilet, Gets Fined RM3,000

He escaped 3 months in jail by paying the fine.
A 31-year-old factory supervisor was fined by the Magistrate’s Court in Batu Pahat after he pleaded guilty to insulting the modesty of another man by secretly filming him in the toilet.

The accused, Na Yeow Sing, made the plea to the charge that was framed under Section 509 of the Penal Code, reported Harian Metro.

Caught in the act

According to facts of the case, police received a report from the complainant who noticed Na recording a video of him from above the toilet cubicle while he was peeing.

Upon realising what had transpired, the complainant chased after Na and managed to catch him before seeking help from a security guard to contact the police.

At about 6pm on the same day, a team of police officers arrived and Na was handed over for further action.

An inspection of the Na’s mobile phone unveiled the video recording and the device was seized by police for further investigation.

Paid RM3,000 fine

In court, Na pleaded guilty to violating the complainant’s modesty by filming him in secret.

Magistrate Nurasidah A. Rahman fined Na RM3,000 and ordered him to be jailed for three months if he failed to pay.

He promptly paid the fine.
