Following the sudden hype surrounding MILO and MILO Ais that sold out in Japan last December and March of this year, famed Japanese YouTuber Aki recently published a video of him tasting the drink made in Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, and Malaysia.

The video starts off with a super cool B-roll shot of the chocolate malty drink that’s guaranteed to make you drool before Aki tells his audience that he would be guessing which cup of MILO belongs to which country without looking at the packaging.

Aki is a huge fan of MILO as he’s currently living in Malaysia and had grown up in drinking the beverage in Japan. Thus, identifying MILO between these two countries should be no biggie, right?

Aki also revealed than MILO in Japan is commonly known as “hot chocolate” and has the darkest colour and tastes more chocolatey than the rest as it is designed to suit the Japanese palate.

Throughout the tasting session, Aki confidently states which MILO belongs to Malaysia, but also admitted that its taste was rather similar to Indonesia’s.

To his surprise, Aki was only able to correctly guess the MILO made in Japan. Time to drink more Malaysian MILO then.

“I think MILO is telling me, ‘You haven’t had enough MILO to talk about MILO.’
