‘It’s My Signature Scent’- M’sian Boss Bars Staff From Using The Same Perfume As Her

When your boss thinks the perfume aisle is a copyright zone 💀
Some people gatekeep songs, others gatekeep fashion. But this Malaysian boss apparently gatekeeps perfume.

A Malaysian woman recently shared on social media that she was called into her boss’s office for a surprising reason: wearing the same perfume as her superior.

‘I only wear this perfume on Fridays’

In her now-viral post, the woman recalled how it all started with a simple compliment. Her boss had asked what perfume she was wearing.

She gladly shared the name, thinking nothing of it until the boss went out and bought the same one.

“I complimented her when she wore it because I really like the scent,” she wrote. “That’s why I bought it in the first place.”

She explained that she only wears that specific woody-scented perfume on Fridays as part of her weekly routine.

But this time, something felt off. When she wore it to work again, she was unexpectedly summoned to her boss’s office.

“I thought it was work-related,” she wrote. “Turns out she wanted to tell me not to wear that perfume again… because it’s her ‘signature scent’.”

Netizens left stunned

Some were amused by the dramatic reaction over a common perfume, while others were baffled at the idea of “claiming ownership” over a scent that’s publicly available
