“It’s my child in danger, not you!” worried parent writes to school

Parents placed in a tight situation

The reopening of schools during a pandemic has caused a stir from Malaysians.

As the government are adamant to reopen schools, one concerned parent sent an open and honest letter to the school stating that their child would not be attending.

“If my child is infected, my child will be the one to die, not you.”

On Sunday (12 September), Education Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin announced that all schools in states in Phase Two of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) will be reopening.

However, schools are to operate at 50% capacity in order to adhere new SOPs.

In addition to that, Radzi also stressed that students are permitted to be absent with a letter from their parents.
