Ismail Sabri set to visit flood victims on his first day as PM

PUTRAJAYA – Newly appointed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob left the Perdana Putra Building Complex at about 9.19am today for his first official working visit to Kedah.

Earlier, he arrived at the Perdana Putra Building Complex at 8.23am and officially clocked in to the Prime Minister’s Office.

His arrival was welcomed by Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Mohd. Zuki Ali, Attorney General, Tan Sri Idrus Harun, Inspector General of Police, Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani and Director General of Public Service, Tan Sri Mohd. Khairul Adib Abd. Rahman.

Sabri also spent about an hour at the Prime Minister’s Office before heading off to Kedah.

Greeting reporters gathering outside the building, he told them that he would be visiting flood victims whose homes were severely damaged by flash floods.

“Yes, I am going to Kedah,” he said while waving to the media as his vehicle pulled out of the building.
