An Indonesian woman had nothing but words of praise for a local e-hailing driver who went out his way to return cash she had accidentally left in the vehicle.
Sharing the incident on Threads, the woman said she never expected to experience such an encounter during her time in Malaysia.
Left money in the car
In the post, the woman wrote that she was running late for her activities for the day and booked a ride to Dataran Merdeka.

In her hurry, she failed to realise that she had left an envelope containing RM300 in cash in the car.
After spending two hours taking photos at Dataran Merdeka and having lunch at a popular restaurant, the woman was about to make her way to a cafe when it finally dawned on her that the envelope had gone missing.
This then sent her into a panic, prompting her friend to suggest calling the e-hailing driver.
Drove 1 hour to return cash
Thankfully, the driver picked up the woman’s call and informed her that it would take him an hour to head over to her location as he was in Bukit Jalil.

When the driver arrived at Dataran Merdeka, he handed the woman the envelope and told her it remained unopened the entire time.
Touched by his honesty, the woman tried to reward the driver with a portion of the cash but he refused, saying that it was his responsibility to return it.
His willingness to go the extra mile impressed the woman, who wrote: “May you be blessed and rewarded for your kindness.”

Netizens also commended the driver for his honesty in the comment section by thanking him for going out of his way to return the money.

They also advised the woman to be more careful with her belongings as she was fortunate to have met an honest individual.
