KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian YouTuber Yang Bao Bei (YBB) made headlines last week for her dramatic suicide attempt, leading to her rescue and subsequent detention by police.
Today, she posted a series of Instagram stories apologizing to her family and fans while reiterating that she was willing to bear and accept all consequences.

In repose to allegations of her scamming money off fans through branded bags and the sale of her YouTube channel, YBB promised to resolve it soon.
“It’s all my fault. I’m sorry to disappoint all of you and promise to handle it as soon as possible.”
In a separate IG story, the YouTuber clarified that she was not running away from her problems but claimed she was detained immediately by the police over her suicide attempt, preventing her from making restitution for the alleged scams.

“I was unable to contact anyone as I had to spend a night in jail.”
“While I truly want to believe that love still exists in this world, all I want to do now is cry.”

YBB also posted a screenshot of a notification telling her that her money transfer was unsuccessful due to the freezing of her bank account despite her best efforts to refund fans.
“I didn’t have the chance to access my phone up until now. The name list will be completed in the WhatsApp group chat and I’ll settle this as soon as I can.”

In addition, she also expressed her gratitude for her friends who comforted and stood by her throughout the entire ordeal, saying that she was glad to know that they still believed in her.
“The person that I’ve wronged the most is my mother. I swear that I’ll be a better person from now on.”
