Cats are renowned for their adorable antics, but sometimes their mischievous behavior can leave us scratching our heads.
Take, for instance, a recent TikTok video posted by Malaysian user @_thehusna, which has the internet in stitches.
The video, now viral with over 200k views, captures the aftermath of a cat’s daring escapade: the complete destruction of a RM20 note, torn into irreparable shreds.
With a mix of exasperation and resignation, the user holds up the remnants of her currency, lamenting, “My money… it has eaten my money, I’m broke right now.”
But instead of getting mad, she opts for humour, captioning the video with, “I just treated it by buying Kibbles and wet food tofu!” Classic cat owner move, right?
Since its upload, the video has been flooded with lighthearted responses to the mischievous cat’s behaviour.
How did it happen actually?
Speaking to WeirdKaya, Husna clarified that the incident actually involved three cats, although she couldn’t determine which one was responsible for the chaos.
According to her, the mishap occurred when a friend paid her RM20 for something, and she placed the money on the table in her living room. Upon returning from her bedroom, she was shocked to find the notes shredded into pieces on the floor.
‘They can’t think for themselves’
Curious about how she handled the aftermath? Husna assured us that she didn’t resort to any harmful actions towards the cats.
She emphasised that when pets misbehave, it’s often a reflection of our responsibility as owners, as they can’t think for themselves.
“I did not do anything harmful towards the cats, I always tell my friends that if our pets have done something wrong, sometimes, it’s always on us. They can’t think for themselves.”
Wrapping up our conversation, Husna expressed a desire for this message to reach those interested: she’s currently seeking a new family for the tortoiseshell cat featured in the video. This feline is a stray that Husna has been caring for.

‘Send the cat to ‘pasar”
Many took the opportunity to crack jokes about the incident, offering humorous suggestions and empathising with the woman’s predicament.
One commenter joked, “You can start planning which ‘pasar’ you can send this cat to,” while another quipped, “It’s not her fault, it’s the money’s fault. Why is the money in paper form?”
In the end, it’s just another day in the life of a cat owner. Sure, they might test our patience from time to time, but the love we have for our feline pals always wins out.
