M’sian woman shares strange encounter with a man
A recent video posted on Instagram by @anabelle_co has gone viral, striking a chord with many viewers who share her concerns. The video has now over 164 comments, with many sharing their encounters with the same man.
In the video, she alerts netizens about a strange man approaching people for money and reacting in an unsettling manner, resonating with the unease that many have felt in similar situations.
Her experience
Anabelle explained that while strolling through the Mont Kiara area, she had fallen behind her family of three as she was using her phone. Later on, she soon found herself alone on a quiet stretch of the street when a random man approached her out of nowhere requesting for money.
She noted that she decided not to interact with him, remembering that she had seen the man the week before, holding a sign and apparently requesting something from someone in a parked car.
I am worried since there’s children who often walk alone to Kiara 163,” she expressed.
Netizens shared their own experiences.
“Hey, the injuries on his hand are fake. The same guy has had the same injury for 365 days, and there are a few others walking around with the same injuries on their hands.”
“I’ve seen this guy as well. He approached my friends and me while we were having a drink at Qra and had the same MO. He told us he doesn’t have funds to pay his medical bills, and I told him nicely that we don’t have cash right now (we actually didn’t).”
“He began shaming us for spending money on wine instead of helping him, then grew increasingly agitated, even crying, which frightened my friends and me. The Qra staff eventually intervened, escorting him away and informing him that such behavior wasn’t acceptable.”
