A 17-year-old girl has gone missing for close to a week after leaving a final message to her aunt before walking out of her home in Johor Bahru.
According to NST, Puteri Nur Balqis Noriman left the family flat located in Taman Rinting at 2.20am last Friday (Apr 24) without informing anyone.
‘I need a peace of mind’
The teen’s aunt, Norehan Mohd Noor, told the English daily that she managed to get hold of Balqis not long after, with the teen telling her that she was seeking some “peace of mind” at the ground floor of the apartment block.

“I went downstairs right away, but my niece was nowhere to be found.
“I tried calling her again, but there was no response. We have also searched several locations without success,” she said.
A police report was then lodged on the same day following failed efforts to located Balqis.
Dropped out of school
Norehan said Balqis, who’s the eldest of five siblings, had left school several years ago due to financial difficulties.

She added that Balqis’ mother is a single mother who suffers from health issues that prevents her from supporting the family.
“Balqis has lived with me for the past two years, while her siblings stay with my other sister’s family.
“Before she disappeared, she said she was facing personal problems and appeared to be distressed.”
Anyone with information on the teen’s whereabouts are urged to contact 017-7493980, 011-33844709, or 019-8722526.
