# ‘I Love You’ – M’sian Teacher Allegedly Killed By Son Shared Mother’s Day Clip Oldest Son Made Before Tragedy

##### A tragic murder case has shaken the nation after a mother and her eldest son were allegedly killed by her second son.

Just weeks before the incident, the victim, Vernita Boon, had shared a heartfelt Mother’s Day video created by the same eldest son — a gesture that now stands as a painful reminder of love and loss.

## A loving video from her eldest son

In May this year, Vernita, a Chinese primary school teacher, posted a short Mother’s Day video made by her eldest child.

Despite not being able to celebrate the occasion, she wrote how grateful and moved she was to receive such a meaningful gift.

“Thank you for making a short video for me as a Mother’s Day gift this year,” she wrote.

> **Although we couldn’t celebrate, I’m very happy because it’s the first time I’ve received a video made by my own family.”**

She ended the post with a touching wish for her children:

**“Hope you will be obedient, grow up healthy and happy, and become useful people. Love you all!”**

## Eldest son also killed

It has since been confirmed that the eldest son, who made the video, was also a victim in the tragedy.

Both Vernita and her son were found dead in a case now believed to involve her second son.

The warm, emotional video — once a symbol of mother-child love — is now seen as a final memory of their bond.

## She had recently lost her husband

Sources also revealed that Vernita had been a single parent since January 2025, after the passing of her husband.

She had been raising her children alone while continuing her role as a dedicated teacher.

The tragedy has triggered an outpouring of grief online.

Many netizens revisited her Facebook post, expressing sorrow and disbelief over how such a loving message was followed by such devastating loss.

## Investigation ongoing

Authorities are still investigating the full circumstances of the case.

The alleged suspect, believed to be her second son, is currently in custody.
