Malaysia is known worldwide as a must visit destination for international tourists, especially for its iconic Petronas Twin Towers and countless cultural and natural attractions.
While many foreigners who travel here often share glowing experiences and say they never want to leave, not everyone feels the same. One Russian tourist recently voiced a very different opinion about Malaysia.
‘I am not sure what to do here’
A Russian traveller, posting on Threads, expressed his disappointment after spending several days in Kuala Lumpur.
Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia is ranked second after Thailand in terms of tourist numbers. This year alone the numbers have exceeded 25 million people.”

“But I am not clear at all on what activities can be done here for more than two or three days,” he wrote.
Based on the photos he shared, it appeared that he only visited central Kuala Lumpur and several shopping malls, which are mostly modern skyscrapers and urban scenery.
His post titled “I really don’t understand what you can do here for more than 2 or 3 days” soon quickly caught the attention of Malaysians.

Many locals pointed out that Malaysia’s biggest strengths are not in the city but in its natural attractions.
