A Malaysian pork seller who gained internet fame for busting out some Blackpink moves has spilled the beans on how much he actually made from producing two songs.
Samous Chan, who went viral for dancing to Blackpink’s “Pink Venom,” shared a Facebook post revealing that he earned RM905.15 from two song releases: a Chinese New Year track called “Dragon Fire Ong Ong 2024” and his single “Comedian” from last year.
While that number might seem decent, the costs behind the productions were way more than expected.
Addressing netizens’ assumptions about the earnings of a celebrity-turned-musician, he said, “It’s really not as much as you guys think.”
But despite earning less than four figures for his work, Samous has no complaints.
“I have no regrets. I was doing it for fun, and it’s part of my interests,” he added.
Besides his music ventures, Samous also landed an acting gig last year.
However, he’s still keeping things sizzling with his roasted pork business.
