# ‘I Can Do This’ – Oyen Endures Onion Fumes To Stay Loyal With Owner In Kitchen

##### In our daily lives, it’s a common experience: whenever we cut onions, our eyes start to sting, often leading to tears.

This phenomenon, though a minor inconvenience, is a shared experience among those who cook. But have you ever wondered if animals experience the same discomfort?

Recently, this question was answered in the most amusing way through a viral video on TikTok, posted by user[ @gugupio5](https://www.tiktok.com/@gugupio5/video/7370548674167934226?_r=1&_t=8mdvDK5NSFU).

The video, which has accumulated 290k views at the time of writing, captures the hilarious and relatable reactions of Oyen, a cat, as it deals with onion fumes in the kitchen.

In the video, Oyen can be seen loyally accompanying its owner in the kitchen. As onions are being sliced, Oyen starts to show visible signs of discomfort.

The cat continuously blinks and squints, clearly affected by the strong fumes emanating from the chopped onions. Despite the irritation, Oyen remains steadfast, staying close to its owner.

The video takes an even more endearing turn when Oyen sneezes and shifts slightly, trying to distance itself from the source of its discomfort.

However, with a display of determination and loyalty, Oyen stays put, witnessing the onion slicing process till the end.
