PETALING JAYA- “Hotpot Datuk” who involved in assaulting a young couple at a hotpot restaurant last Tuesday (12 Jan) has issued an apology to the victims and all Malaysians over his irrational actions and that of his friend.
“Hotpot Datuk” identified himself as Datuk Tan in the video, seeking an apology from all Malaysian and the victims and he admitted his action at the hotpot restaurant was irrational, improper and extreme. The argument began after the young man asked them not to make too much noise. at the restaurant.
“I was angry and embarrassed when the victims who were much younger than me asked us to keep our voices down.”, as said in the video.
The situation was made worsewhen my friend thought I was hit by the young man. “I was then out of control and slapped the young man and we got into a fight,” said Datuk Tan. He also claimed that he was drunk when the incident took place.
He said he and his friends are the ones responsible over the incident, hoping the public not to involve his innocent family members and friends into the matter.
This comes after the news of “Hotpot Datuk” slapping a young man in a restaurant went viral on social media. The incident took place in Tropicana Avenue, Petaling Jaya, one day before the second implementation on Movement Control Order (12 Jan).
