Hospital Sultanah Aminah (HSA) in Johor has been recognised as one of the World’s Best Hospitals 2026 by Newsweek and Statista.
The achievement was shared by Johor State Health and Environment Committee chairman Ling Tian Soon on his Facebook page, where he congratulated the hospital for the milestone.
Recognition reflects ongoing improvements
According to Ling, the recognition highlights the continuous efforts taken to improve the quality of healthcare services and facilities at HSA.
He noted that various initiatives have been introduced in recent years to strengthen the hospital’s overall service and ensure better care for patients in Johor.

The recognition also signals that these improvements are beginning to show results.
Not a stopping point
Despite the achievement, Ling said the accolade should not be seen as a reason to slow down.
Instead, he described it as a motivation for the healthcare system in Johor to keep progressing and raise standards further.
He added that maintaining and improving healthcare services remains a priority for the state.

Ling also expressed his appreciation to the hospital’s staff, including doctors, nurses and healthcare workers, for their dedication and commitment.
He credited their consistent efforts in delivering quality care as a key factor behind the recognition.
State govt pledges continued support
He added that the Johor state government will continue working towards strengthening and enhancing healthcare services in the state.
The goal, he said, is to ensure that the well being of the people in Johor remains protected while improving the overall standard of care.
