“Never say never”

Joni had moved to Taman Serdang Perdana, Seri Kembangan, to set up a stall named “Good Father You Tiao” at Restoran Peng Chu to support his children.

He caught the attention of netizens with a note at his stall that reads, “We are Good Father You Tiao. I came from Johor Bahru and I don’t have a home. I need to rent a house. Can you help me?”

It was later learned that Joni is the sole caretaker of his two daughters, aged seven and eleven.

Since Joni’s passing, his daughters have been taken in by the Social Welfare Department (JKM).

While many netizens were eager to provide financial aid, Facebook user Joe Yap warned the public of fake fundraisers as the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and individuals currently giving aid to the family said they are not seeking any donations.

We are deeply saddened to hear of his passing. May he rest in peace!
