A school bus driver in Malaysia became the target of vulgar insults from a student, triggering anger online after screenshots of the conversation were shared on social media.
According to the driver’s son, his father was called “babi” (pig) by a female student in a private message.
I didn’t even know what to say. When we went to her house to confront her, she didn’t dare come out,” he wrote.
In one of the screenshots that went viral, it showed the student mocking the man by sending him the the following message: “Hi pakcik babi. Pakcik makan babi ke?”
Following the insult, the driver immediately terminated the girl’s bus service, bringing the matter to an end.
Parents tried to apologise
The student’s father later apologised and pleaded for the bus service to continue, but the driver refused, saying his daughter had already crossed the line.
“The father apologised, but it was too late. If we continue, more problems will come. Once you cross the line, that’s it. They can find another school van,” the OP wrote.
Netizens slam uncouth behaviour
The viral post sparked a wave of frustration from netizens, who claimed children today have no manners and lack respect for adults.
Many also blamed parents for being too lenient and letting kids speak however they want.
The OP later revealed the incident had actually occurred in October 2023, but he decided to share it now because the memory remains vivid and painful, especially for someone who worked hard to serve students every day.
The driver said he has forgiven the student, but stood firm on his decision not to reinstate her.
Netizens supported him, saying consequences are important and that children must learn to take accountability and not just apologise.
