A woman’s quiet, painful glimpse into her family’s daily struggle has moved many Malaysians, after she posted a video of her husband counting loose coins early in the morning.
Counting coins for milk and diapers
In the clip, the man sits at a small table, slowly sorting through a pile of coins, with each cent being calculated carefully.
According to his wife, that was the only money they had left for the day.
“He was counting coins early in the morning. I asked him what he needed the money for. He said he wanted to buy milk, diapers, and food for our child.”
Was undergoing chemotherapy
What made the moment even more heartbreaking was what the wife revealed next.
She shared that her husband is an OKU (person with disability) and is currently undergoing treatment for cancer.
Just the night before, he had returned from the hospital after a chemotherapy session — yet still forced himself to figure out how to provide for their family.
It hurts to see him like this. He only came home from the hospital yesterday after chemo. My husband has cancer and he’s an OKU. Please pray for our family’s strength and for his recovery.”
Despite his condition, he continues trying to support his wife and child in any way he can — even if it means scraping together whatever small change he has.

M’sians step in to help
The post quickly gained attention, with many expressing sympathy and offering help.
Several users reached out asking for contact details, hoping to assist with groceries, baby supplies, or financial support.
Others shared prayers, telling the family to stay strong and assuring them they are not alone.
The wife later posted an emotional update, thanking Malaysians for the overwhelming kindness shown to her family.
She said her husband looked genuinely happy after receiving help from strangers, and expressed deep gratitude on his behalf.
