“Help to put the chicken back into the cage” Food rider shares amusing order request

Being a food delivery rider is no easy task these days as you have to deal with eccentric and sometimes unreasonable customers. If you happen to be extra unlucky, you may also be ‘rewarded’ with physical abuse.

Here is a recent story about a delivery rider who was assaulted:

However, not all delivery riders are treated terribly and they occasionally encounter interesting and humorous situations too, just like this man in Singapore.

Bardon Muse shared how he was given an odd instruction on the delivery order yesterday (May 5), where the customer requested his help in taking care of his pet chicken.

“Please leave the food at the gate. By the way, if you see a chicken running around outside, please help me [to] put it back in the cage or else the cat will eat it up. Thanks.”

When Bardon saw the request, he thought it was a joke. But to his surprise, there was indeed a chicken standing outside the house when he arrived to drop off the order.

To commemorate this once-in-a-lifetime experience, Bardon took a picture with the chicken and shared it on Facebook, which garnered 6.1k shares within 24 hours.
