M’sian Headmaster Robbed Of RM109,000 In Cash Meant For B40 Students

He had placed the cash on the passenger's seat.
A headmaster lost RM109,000 in cash after his car was broken into at Kampung Baru Semenyih yesterday (Jan 16).

This comes after the 50-year-old victim withdrew the money from a bank, which was meant to be used for the Bantuan Awal Persekolahan (BAP) programme for B40 students.

According to Kajang district police chief assistant commissioner Mohd Zaid Hassan, the headmaster left the cash inside his parked car and went to buy a drink.

He added that preliminary investigations found that the victim had gone to the bank all by himself and placed the cash inside a bag, which he left on the passenger’s seat.

“When he returned to his car 10 minutes later, he noticed the rear passenger’s window was broken and the money was missing,” he said as quoted by NST.

Zaid also said that the stolen RM109,000 was meant to be given out as cash aid to B40 students who came from households with a monthly income of RM3,000 or below.

The case is currently being investigated under Section 379 of the Penal Code for robbery and witnesses with more information are encouraged to contact investigating officer, Inspector Ahmad Rahmat Adnan at 014-5156933.
