Jakarta-based online grocery delivery application HappyFresh has announced that it will be ceasing operations in Malaysia after seven years.

In a post on its official Facebook account, it wrote that economic woes had forced it to call a day.
“For the past seven years, your support and trust has helped us provides jobs for 850 workers, an unrivaled foundation for the merchants in our application, and unimaginable joy for all HappyFreshers who deliver groceries to your home.
Due to the current economic situation, we have no choice but to cease operations with immediate effect.
“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving us the chance to make your lives much more convenient,” the post read.
The company also told customers to refer to their FAQ should they have any pressing questions.
