Federal Territories minister Hannah Yeoh and her husband, Ramachandran Muniandy, have officially parted ways after 18 years of marriage.
The news was confirmed by Yeoh’s official website, which wrote that she married Ramachandran in 2008 before venturing into politics and divorced in 2026.
Throughout their marriage, the couple share two children named Shay and Kayleigh together.

However, neither Yeoh nor her official website divulged the reason for the divorce.
Storied political career
Yeoh has long had a remarkable and accomplished political career, where she made history by being the first female speaker of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly from 2013 to 2018.
In 2018, she was appointed Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development during Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) short-lived administration, but found herself in the Cabinet again as Youth and Sports minister in 2022 when PH took power again.
Yeoh was later appointed as Federal Territories minister following a Cabinet shuffle in 2025.

As for Yeoh’s husband, he courted controversy in 2024 after his company, Asia Mobility Technologies Sdn Bhd, was awarded a contract without an open tender by the Selangor state government.
This led to many calling for Yeoh’s resignation, including her former DAP colleague P Ramasamy, who urged her to be “above cronyism and favouritism”.
