KUALA LUMPUR – The GSC Leisure Mall branch in Cheras has been in business for 26 years, and it was the childhood memory of all Cheras people. However, some online media has recently reported that the following branch will be closed down permanently and stepped into history. Famous DJ from 988, Danny One even took to social media and recalled the memories he had in Leisure Mall. It has attracted many netizens to comment and share memories together.
Danny mentioned in his Facebook post that GSC Leisure Mall is where he learned how to watch movie and date.
“Cheras is indeed a place with stories”, said Danny One.
From the photo shared by Danny, it can be seen that the iron door at the original GSC cinema has been pulled down and the electronic screen has been removed, but the large sign in the shop is still there. After his post was published, many netizens expressed reluctance, “It is also my childhood and youth”, “It’s really emotional here”, “If you don’t give up, you have to say goodbye. Thank you for giving me many beautiful memories.”
Regarding the following matters, WeirdKaya admin has recently contacted GSC via Facebook and confirmed that the closure of GSC cinemas in Klang Valley is temporarily, and this is in response to the current situation.
