SG Man Doesn’t Receive ‘Good Morning Sticker’ From Dad For 3 Days, Discovers He Had Died Inside Flat

His body was found by a friend who dropped by to chat over a meal.
If you’re currently living with older family members or have done so in the past, they would often send messages or stickers with the words ‘Good morning’ on it as a greeting or just to show care.

After noticing that his father didn’t send a ‘good morning sticker’ daily as he used to, a Singaporean man’s worst fears came true when he discovered that the latter had already passed away.

Didn’t get ‘good morning sticker’ from dad for 3 days

According to Shin Min Daily News, the man’s father had the habit of sending his son ‘good morning stickers’ as a way of telling him that he was well.

However, when the man’s father failed to do so for three days straight starting from Tuesday (Nov 21), it caused him and the entire family to be deeply concerned.

Tragically, the worst outcome proved to be true when a friend decided to drop by the man’s HDB unit in Tampines for a meal and chat on Sunday (Nov 24), only to find the man dead inside the flat.

Upon finding the man’s corpse, the friend immediately called the police and several police cars and ambulances turned up at the scene.

Visited dad during the weekends

After receiving the news, the man’s son rushed over to the flat to check on the situation.

It was later revealed that the man’s two sons would often pay him a visit during the weekends while a maid came to clean the house.

Neighbours told Shin Min Daily News that the man was previously living with his wife at the same unit and continued to live there alone after she died.

They also said that the man had previously suffered a stroke and kept the door unlocked so that they could keep an eye on him.

His sons had planned to visit him on Sunday but were informed of his passing before they could do so.
