Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has urged Johor voters to give Pakatan Harapan a chance to serve the state as polling day draws closer.
In a Facebook post, Anwar, who is also PH chairman, appealed to Johoreans to back the coalition in the 16th Johor state election this Saturday.
Anwar appeals to Johor voters
“With only a few days left before the people of Johor make their choice, I appeal to them to give HARAPAN an opportunity to serve this state,” he said.

He added that PH would work hard to protect Johor’s interests if given the mandate by voters.
“God willing, we will work hard, defend Johor’s interests and ensure that the progress achieved is truly felt by all the people,” he said.
Calls on voters to return home
Anwar also urged Johor born voters living outside the state to return home and cast their ballots this Saturday.
In a separate post, he used a traditional Malay poem to encourage voters to fulfil their responsibility for the future of Johor.
The poem roughly translates to: “Johor laksa is unmatched, a heritage from our elders always remembered. Come home with hope, so the state may prosper and progress further.”
172 candidates contesting 56 seats
The 16th Johor state election will see 172 candidates contesting across 56 state seats.
As the campaign enters its final stretch, Johor voters are set to decide which coalition will be given the mandate to lead the state.
