A Form Three student allegedly jumped from the third floor of his school building and sustained serious injuries yesterday (6 Jan), China Press reported.
Sepang district police chief ACP Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof said that the school alerted the police that the student was found lying down and bleeding from his head at around 10 am.
According to him, the 15-year-old victim, who is in critical condition and unconscious, is now being treated at Putrajaya Hospital.
The Chinese daily reported that the preliminary investigations revealed no criminal elements involved in the case.
It is understood that a student also claimed to have seen the student in the corridor of the third floor of the school building before he jumped.
Suffers depressed
The police chief further shared that the student had received psychological counseling at school several times due to depression.
Previously, he had also received psychiatric treatment at Serdang Hospital for swallowing 38 Panadol.
The case is now being investigated under Section 309 of the Penal Code.
