A pair of parents had a fright of their lives when they discovered that their 2-year-old son wasn’t in the car with them while making their way back to Johor Bahru.
Thankfully, they were reunited with their child thanks to a kind Samaritan who took the boy to the police station.
Was found loitering outside restaurant
According to a Facebook post by the Raub District Police, it wrote that the boy was found wandering in front of Restoran Azmi Stim in Raub, Pahang yesterday (Dec 1).

A man came across the child and waited with him for 45 minutes to see whether his family members would come for him. When no one appeared, the boy was taken to the Raub Police Station.
Miscommunication cause for separation
Police managed to get hold of the boy’s parents, who rushed over and reached the police station at 4pm.
Upon being interviewed, they said they were travelling in two vehicles from Johor Bahru on Sunday (Nov 30) to Tersan, Dong in Pahang. After completing their matters there, they stopped by the restaurant for a meal.

After the meal, they went back into their vehicles and continued their journey to Johor Bahru with the assumption that their child was inside the car too.
However, they realised the truth when they reached KL and the boy’s mother immediately contacted her sister to inquire about his whereabouts.
“Apparently, there was a miscommunication between the parties when they got into cars before departing from the restaurant.

“The boy’s parents contacted Restoran Azmi Stim and were informed that he had been handed over to the Raub Police Station,” the post read.
Police also reminded parents to always be mindful of their children’s whereabouts so that such incidents will not occur.
