In conjunction with Malaysia Day on Sept 16, foodpanda Malaysia has introduced HomeChefs, an initiative to help Malaysian chefs earn an income while doing what they love — cooking.
With an amazing array of kuih-muihs, these local delicacies will bring back nostalgic memories of Malaysia, a home of cultures and unique palates.
The local delicacies include a variety of scrumptious delectables such as Karipap, Onde-Onde, Cucur Badak, Pulut Panggang, Keledek Goreng and Kek Sarang Semut.
With this initiative, Malaysian chefs can expand their clientele from their own kitchens while pursuing and achieving their individual business objectives.
foodpanda Malaysia Chief Executive Officer, Sayantan Das said that HomeChefs helps Malaysian chefs and those who have lost their main source of income due to the pandemic to earn a living.
Their passion for cooking and mutual love for food has allowed us to work with them to welcome more customers into their “kitchens” to enjoy delicious home cooked food.
“We hope that by launching HomeChefs, we can provide them with the launchpad they need to reach a wider customer base”, he said.
Sayantan added that foodpanda Malaysia will continue to support SMEs and home businesses by providing them the resources they need to achieve their full potential and to celebrate all things Malaysian and the much-loved local flavours.
