A 10-year-old boy in Johor had the fright of his life after he was unable to free himself after getting his head stuck inside a traffic cone.
Played around with traffic cone
According to a statement by the Johor Fire and Rescue Department, the boy from SK Api Api was playing with his friends when he somehow got his head stuck inside the traffic cone at 1.28pm.
Despite the best efforts of his friends and teachers, the cone couldn’t be removed, forcing them to make a distress call to the Johor Fire and Rescue Department’s operations centre.
Rescued by firemen
A spokesperson told Malay Mail that a team of six firemen from the Pontian fire station, led by commander Mohd Ezal Azman, immediately rushed to the scene.
He added that they quickly got to work and managed to free the boy’s head at 1.55pm after cutting the traffic cone with rescue tools.
After ensuring that the boy was uninjured, the team left the location.
Let’s hope the boy learns his lesson and doesn’t get his head stuck inside another object!
